Jennifer is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and is in process of obtaining her Associate Counselor status with the state of Georgia. She is under the direction of Dr. Diane Pearce, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor. Jennifer also operates under the Clinical Supervision of Jeanine Rousso, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia, and an approved Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor with Georgia.
Jennifer’s goal is to assist clients in developing their own awareness and inspire them to achieve healing. She currently enjoys working with children and adolescents with ADD/ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, mood disorders including Bipolar Disorder, anxiety and trauma related from abuse and/or neglect, Jennifer also integrates families into their children’s treatment. Jennifer also works with adults with depression, anxiety, social anxiety, anger, relationship issues, trauma, post-traumatic stress complications.
Before joining Legacy, Jennifer came with a plethora of experience including serving as a community support specialist and therapist during her internship. After her internship completion she transitioned into a therapist role where she also held a regional leadership position at Georgia HOPE. Prior to entering the counseling field, Jennifer worked in a corporate environment as a civilian employee within local law enforcement for a total of 27 years in operations, human resources, and management.
Jennifer and her husband spend much of their leisure time with their two dogs, hiking, kayaking, and being in the North Georgia and Western North Carolina Mountains. They both enjoy traveling and staying off the beaten path, and of course going to the beach.
