Meet ChipChip is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Since 2004, Chip’s primary work has been working with adolescents and their families. He has worked extensively with children facing the following issues: ADD/ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, mood disorders including Bipolar Disorder, anxiety and trauma related from abuse and/or neglect and other issues stemming from family separation. He is highly effective in working directly with parents on helping them better understand their children’s issues and what they are going through.
Chip enjoys working with men and women who struggle with depression and anxiety, helping them learn new strategies that can lead to a healthier life. Chip is also a Gottman-Level 1 certified Marital Therapist. Though Chip does not specialize in Marriage Therapy, he can and does work with individuals wanting to improve the quality of their marital relationship. More than anything, he just wants to serve as a small part of people’s need for change and healing so they can begin to leave their lasting Legacy in this world. AdditionallyBefore joining Legacy Strategy, Chip served as Clinical Director for Murphy Harpst Children’s Center. Murphy Harpst is a residential treatment facility for adolescents separated from their biological families and placed in DFCS custody.
Married since 2006, Chip and his wife enjoy hiking, running, going to concerts and laughing a lot. Individually, he enjoys working in his yard and learning to cook something more complex than a grilled cheese sandwich. Blog: Read Chip's blog posts HERE. |
