Meet LaurenLauren joined Legacy Strategy as an intern counselor in 2026. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from Georgia State University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a focus on child and adolescent therapy, at Richmont Graduate University. She offers a gentle, lighthearted, and honest approach to counseling, creating a space where clients feel comfortable and genuinely seen. Grounded in a person-centered orientation, she takes an integrative approach, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to support each client's unique needs. At the heart of her work is a deep belief that everyone deserves to be heard, supported, and empowered—especially during life's most overwhelming seasons.
Lauren works with individuals, adolescents, and couples, with a growing specialization in adolescent behaviors. She is especially passionate about helping teens and their families navigate emotional regulation, identity development, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. Across her work, she emphasizes meaningful connection, secure attachment, and practical skills for lasting growth, while incorporating movement, creativity, and play to help clients explore their inner world and better understand their experiences. Outside of the therapy room, Lauren is happiest when playing backyard lacrosse with her tween daughters, sharing coffee or tea with her husband, hiking, gathering with friends over a good meal, attending community theater, or exploring antique shops. She needs windows for light, slow walks among the trees, walls for art, and time with the people she loves. Her beloved cat, Purrkins, and dog, Holly, also keep life lively with their daily mischief. |
