Meet SeanSince 2009, Sean has been sharing hope, humor, and authenticity with his clients. He specializes in serving teenagers and adults to help deal with depression, anxiety, anger, abuse & mistreatment, loss, and addiction issues. Additionally, he has extensive experience in counseling Veterans and first responders with unique trauma experiences. Sean is highly effective in helping people heal hurts they have carried and often have kept secret or hidden from others. Sean’s passion is seeing people develop new chapters in life-to the point that those closest to them take notice-as they broaden their understanding of themselves and others.
Sean enjoys working with adolescents and men & women who are struggling with depression, social and performance anxiety, anger, post-traumatic stress, addictive behaviors, and grief. Sean has advanced EMDR training (which can help with intense emotions related to specific events) and finds that EMDR provides lasting changes to handle the stressors of everyday life without the same difficulty as before. Sean’s passion is to help his clients balance and resolve challenging thought processes without feeling shame. Additionally
Prior to joining Legacy, Sean worked as a primary EMDR therapist for Veteran’s Affairs in the PTSD clinic. Sean has also worked as a clinician and director for individuals working toward addiction recovery, and
in community mental health working with teenagers, young adults, and their families. Sean and his wife, Stevie, have been married since 2014 and enjoy traveling (especially anywhere with a beach), searching for the best local food and coffee spots, going for excessive amounts of walks & learning new recipes to cook together-some of them taste a lot better than others. |
